Taxi driver’s obligations:
He should carry passenger’s luggage from the pavement to the vehicle and vice versa. He is not entitled to deny you a ride and cannot pick up extra passengers without your permission.
Passenger may request a waiting time up to 15 minutes, or more if there is a serious reason. Upon passenger’s request, the driver is obliged to issue an invoice stating the route and metred fare paid.

Are taxis from Rhodes Airport charged by a flat rate or on a meter?
Taxis in Rhodes are metered, but for the most common routes from the airport there are standard fares, shown in the price list above. These are average prices including airport and luggage surcharges. Fares are higher between 00:00 and 05:00, when the night tariff applies.
Are taxi drivers at Rhodes Airport fluent in English?
No, you will find that not all taxi drivers on the island of Rhodes speak English, if that is your first language. You might find it useful to print out the directions to your hotel or other final destination on the island in advance of your flight so you can show them to the driver.
How many passengers are allowed in a typical Rhodes Airport taxi?
Most taxis serving the airport are standard four door cars with a limit on four passengers, with three in the back and one sitting in the passenger seat across from the driver. If you are traveling with a larger group you can either take more than one taxi or ask at the airport about the availability of bigger vehicles such as shuttle buses that can handle your full group.
How much cash should I carry for my Rhodes Airport taxi ride?
This depends on where you are traveling to on the island after you land, but most Rhodes Airport taxi drivers have no more than €20 in change at any time. That means you should try to find an estimate of your taxi journey price online before you fly, so that you can ensure you have enough cash to pay for the ride without having to rely on the taxi driver providing change. All taxis in Greece are also required to accept card payments, so you can pay by debit or credit card.
Am I required to tip my Rhodes Airport taxi driver?
No, there is no law or regulation that mandates you tip you taxi driver. And if you receive a ride that you consider unsafe then you should feel free to not leave any tip. However, if you are given a clean, smooth and safe ride then it is customary to give your taxi driver a tip ranging from between 5 percent and 10 percent of the final amount of your journey fare.
How can I report any problems with my Rhodes Airport taxi ride?
If you feel that you have been overcharged, or if you have any other concerns with your ride, you can report this to the Tourist Police (dial 171). You will need to take a note of the taxi driver’s identification number, their taxi number, the date of your journey, and keep your taxi receipt.
